  Medulin and its port

Medulin is a town located 11km south of Pula in the easternmost part of Istria. This coastal town sits at the southern tip of the region on the eastern shore of the Kvarner Bay. Medulin’s economy is based on agriculture, fishing and tourism. Tourism developed in Medulin because of its protected forest park Kašteja on the peninsula south of the town and its easy access from the town. The port of Medulin is not very deep (0.9 to 2.5 m) and can only accommodate small boats.

The bay of Medulin is protected and is suitable for camping and swimming. There is a campground on the southeast side of the Kasteja peninsula (2 km from Medulin). The campsite is located on the regional road Pula-Pomer-Melongueur Liznjan.
